Joe Teehan

KGMI Program Director

Joe prides himself on being a radio professional – meaning he’s been working in radio a really, really long time! A little over 40 years to be exact. Joe began his career in Denver and also worked in Phoenix. But he’s most proud to have been a member of the KGMI team and a resident of Bellingham and Whatcom County for more than half of his time in the industry. KGMI has won awards for excellence in broadcasting during his time here, but his most valued experience has been knowing, understanding and reporting on this incredible community where he and his wife Laurie have raised their two children. He loves Whatcom County’s natural beauty, traditions, and the fact that nobody here seems to consider a bald guy with a long ponytail to be too weird.
