SKAGIT COUNTY, WA – Residents with young children in Skagit County may receive a surprise gift when interacting with their local Sheriff’s Office.

GoSkagit reports the Help Me Grow Skagit Family Resource Center has partnered with the Sheriff’s Office to keep nine police vehicles stocked with diapers, wipes and formula.

The program will see deputies handing out the supplies to any child in need as they come across them while on duty.

Help Me Grow Skagit is a free service for caregivers of young children and expecting parents that connects them to county resources and helps deliver needed supplies.

They say the hope is that this new program helps spread awareness of the organization and gets important childcare supplies to the people who need them.
