BELLINGHAM, WA – Be sure to watch your bags if you travel through Sea-Tac this holiday season.
King5 reports that the airport saw an all-time high of 477 cases of luggage theft last year.
That’s compared to a record low of 97 reported incidents in 2011.
The numbers are down a bit this year, with 341 thefts through October, but Sea-Tac’s busiest season is yet to come.
Still, the Port of Seattle estimates that a person’s chances of getting a bag stolen is just one in 56,000.
Sea-Tac says they expect to screen more than 460,000 travelers through this Tuesday.
