BELLINGHAM, WA – If you’re looking to get involved in local issues around the community, here’s your chance.

The Whatcom County Council and County Executive are seeking applications from residents to fill vacancies on more than 30 advisory boards and commissions.

The volunteer positions advise the Council and Executive on a range of local issues including agriculture, criminal justice, land use planning and more.

Most board members have terms that expire at the end of two, three or four years.

Candidates must live in Whatcom County and meet the specific requirements of the positions.

Applications are due by 10 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2024.
