BELLINGHAM, WA – Over 1.2 million Washington residents will receive a portion of $40.6 million thanks to anti-trust lawsuits.

The money comes from successful anti-trust lawsuits Attorney General Bob Ferguson filed against large chicken and tuna corporations for price-fixing conspiracies.

The AG announced Wednesday that his office is mailing checks to all households at or below 175% of the federal poverty level.

The first round of checks was sent out Tuesday.

All checks will be sent out before Dec. 31.

Checks will either be $50 or $120 depending on household size.

If you qualify and don’t receive a check, you must file a claim within six months to receive a portion of the funds.

If you have questions about eligibility or the claims process, call (866) 601-1516 or send an email to refundcheck@atg.wa.gov
