The Washington Huskies men’s basketball team got a big win last night on KPUG.
They beat Montana State 85-61 in Seattle.
The Huskies’ leading scorer Keion Brooks Jr. had a quiet night, managing just 9 points on 2-9 shooting.
But senior center Franck Kepnang scored a game-high 16 points to lead the team.
Washington also got 32 points from their bench.
They now improve to 5-3 ahead of their big matchup against No. 7 Gonzaga on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Huskies’ women’s team stayed perfect as they edged out Montana State 55-50.
Three starters scored in double figures and the Huskies overcame 23 team turnovers to get the close win.
They now sit at 9-0 with a game against No. 21 Washington State coming up on Sunday.
Former Mariners pitcher Marco Gonzales spent just two days in Atlanta before getting dealt again.
Gonzales was traded to the Pirates last night just two days after getting sent to Atlanta along with Jared Kelenic.
He was 4-1 with a 5.22 ERA in 10 games last season before getting surgery on his left arm.
He’s expected to be ready by the start of spring training.

The Nooksack Valley boys beat Cedar Park Christian 62-35.
The Bellingham boys beat Blaine 74-43, but the Blaine girls beat Bellingham 53-30.
The Ferndale boys lost to Lakewood 63-41, but Ferndale’s girls team took a 65-56 win over Lakewood.
And the Lynden Christian boys won a 71-41 blowout over Burlington-Edison, while LC’s girls team lost a close one to Burlington 49-47.
