BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) The City of Bellingham is seeking public feedback to update their Bicycle Master Plan.
The update will guide how the city builds an inclusive bike network and promotes biking culture over the next ten years.
Bellingham has finished over 120 projects from the last plan in 2014, including linking up critical pieces of the biking network and making bike crossing safer.
Public Works Director Eric Johnston says community engagement is essential to informing the future of bike infrastructure projects.
The city invites all community members, including those who live, work or frequently visit Bellingham, to give their input on the draft plan updates.
Virtual open houses are scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 13 and Thursday, Dec. 14 to discuss the plan and answer any questions.
Community members can also visit the Engage Bellingham website to look over the draft and offer feedback.
