The Seahawks dropped a key game to their division-rival 49ers yesterday.
Seattle lost 28-16 in Drew Locke’s first start for the team with Geno Smith injured.
The Seahawks took an early 10-7 lead after the first quarter, but the Niners outscored them 21-6 the rest of the way to earn the win.
DK Metcalf scored Seattle’s first touchdown on a 31-yard pass from Locke, but he got ejected following a fight with Niners’ linebacker Fred Warner.
Seattle now falls to 6-7 after losing their fourth straight game, while the division leading Niners improve to 10-3.
The Seahawks are currently tied with four other teams for the sixth best record in the NFC, but their playoff positioning depends on the outcome of the Packers’ game against the Giants tonight on Monday Night Football.

The Kraken dropped their eighth straight game last night in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Wild.
It was 1-0 up until the third period, but Wild goalie Filip Gustavsson held Seattle silent with 24 saves for his second shutout of the year.
The Wild had lost seven in a row last month before changing coaches, they’re 5-2 since then.
The Kraken now sit at 8-14-7, tied for fifth-worst record in the league.
On the bright side, it was a great weekend for Husky basketball.
Washington’s men’s team got a 78-73 upset with over #7 Gonzaga.
They were down six at halftime but outscored the Zags by 11 in the second half.
Meanwhile, the women’s team beat rival Washington State 60-55 to stay undefeated and earn their first win over a ranked opponent, Wazzu was 21st in the country.
The 10-0 Huskies still aren’t ranked, but they have the most votes of any non-ranked team in the AP’s last poll.

The Lynden Christian boys took a pair of wins over Sedro Woolley and Seattle Academy, while their girls team smoked Sedro Woolley 69-21.
The Lynden boys dropped a tight one to Jackson 60-59.
Sehome boys blew out Mariner 69-32.
The Mt. Baker boys fell to Anacortes 77-47, the girls followed suit with a 53-25 loss to Anacortes.
The Blaine boys beat Oak Harbor 70-53, while the girls got edged out in a 54-51 loss.
The Bellingham boys beat Nooksack Valley 67-50, but the Nooksack girls got revenge with a 72-16 romping of Bellingham.
