SEATTLE, WA – (KGMI.com) A Seattle man was convicted of abusive sexual contact on an international flight in a three-day jury trial late Friday.

35-year-old Milan Edward Jurkovic was on an Air France flight from Paris to Seattle in July of 2022.

Also on the plane was a school group from Western Washington, returning from a class trip abroad.

One of the group’s teens was seated next to Jurkovic.

About three hours into the flight, Jurkovic began to massage the 16-year-old’s thigh under a blanket.

After an extended period of time, the fear-paralyzed victim managed to pull away and tell others in her group, including a chaperone.

The chaperone traded places with the victim for the rest of the flight.

When the plane landed, Port of Seattle Police interviewed the victim and Jurkovic, who gave contradictory statements.

Jurkovic claimed he had pain in his leg, then it was an itch and touching the teen was inadvertent.

He was indicted and arrested in January.

Jurkovic’s sentencing is next March, and he will face up to two years in federal prison.
