BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) Another business in the Granary is closing their doors.

Artivem Mead Co. announced yesterday via Instagram that the meadery will not reopen in 2024.

The business opened in 2020 a few months after the COVID-19 pandemic began, co-founded by award-winning mead maker Carlos Bassetti and Micah Mailand.

On their website, Artivem says they hope to grow the mead-making industry in Bellingham.

Honey Moon Mead and Cider will be the only meadery in Bellingham once Artivem shutters in a few weeks.

The announcement follows fellow Granary tenant Black Fern Coffee’s closure last week.

The business has not given a reason for the closure and declined to comment.

The Instagram post also says that everything sold in their taproom will be 35% off until New Year’s Eve.

A sale on their online store is upcoming.
