BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) Another fundraiser has been verified by GoFundMe to help additional victims of the Fairhaven Terminal fire.
Elizabeth Schermer says that while help is pouring in for the building’s well-known ground floor businesses, a dozen second floor tenants have also lost their workspaces.
The nine upstairs offices housed counseling services and massage therapists, among others.
Schermer is hoping to reach a $48,000 donation goal to help with relocation and office supply expenses.
She estimates that each business would need about $4000 to get them back on their feet.
Three other GoFundMe’s are also running to help ground floor business employees and their families.
Here is a link to the GoFundMe for the second-floor tenants.
A GoFundMe has begun for Nathaniel Breaux’s 2-year-old daughter.
Both the GoFundMe’s for the employees of Dirty Dan’s Steakhouse, Harris Avenue and The Old Independent Coffeehouse reached their goals within days of beginning.
