BELLINGHAM, WA. – (KGMI.com) Several grants are opening up for nonprofit organizations in Whatcom County.
The Whatcom Community Foundation is seeking applicants for three grant opportunities to support different areas of the community.
Their Youth Philanthropy Project aims to provide children and youth up to age 24 with resources for mental health challenges and homelessness.
The project offers grants for nonprofits, schools, Native American tribes and government agencies that work with youth.
Applications are open now through February 9th.
More “mini” grants are being offered to address mental health in staff that work with nonprofit organizations.
Applications are now open to federal nonprofits and grant reviews will begin on January 15th.
The last grant, called Project Neighborly, seeks ideas to develop a sense of community and belonging around neighbors.
Applications for that open on March 1st.
