The Mariners just made a pair of big moves to bolster their hitting.

Seattle sent former Cy Young winner Robbie Ray to San Francisco in exchange for pitcher Anthony DeSclafani and outfielder Mitch Haniger, who returns to the team after spending five seasons with the M’s that included one All Star appearance.

In a second trade, the Mariners sent infielder Jose Caballero to the Tampa Bay Rays for outfielder/first baseman Luke Raley.

The Kraken extended their biggest win streak of the season last night.

They beat the Ottawa Senators 4-1 to win their sixth straight game.

All four of their goals each came from a different player.

Goalie Joey Daccord followed up his Winter Classic shutout with 32 saves.

Before last night, he hadn’t allowed a goal since early in the first period of Seattle’s win against Philadelphia on Dec. 29, giving him the longest shutout streak in team history.

The Kraken will look to extend their streak in Buffalo against the Sabres on Tuesday.
