BELLINGHAM, WA – (KGMI.com) More space for those seeking shelter will be available this weekend ahead of potentially freezing conditions.
Bellingham’s Severe Weather Shelter on N State Street will be open from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday nights.
Low temperatures are expected to drop below freezing after wind chill predicted this weekend in western Whatcom County.
Snacks, water and coffee will all be provided at the shelter, which operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Additional shelter space will be available at the Civic Field locker rooms and at Base Camp.
