They’re trying to cap off an undefeated season as they face the top-ranked Michigan Wolverines in Houston.
The Huskies are coming off a tight 37-31 win over Texas in the Sugar Bowl, while Michigan edged Alabama 27-20 in overtime in the Rose Bowl last week.

The Seattle Seahawks’ season has come to an end.
The Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals 21-20 yesterday to finish the season with a 9-8 record.
But the Green Bay Packers bounced them out of the playoffs with a win over the Chicago Bears.
It’s just the fourth time that Seattle has missed the playoffs in Pete Carroll’s 14 years with the team.

Outfielder Teoscar Hernandez signed a one-year, $23.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers yesterday.
The 31-year-old hit .258 with 26 HR’s and 93 RBIs for the M’s last season.
Hernandez did not receive a qualifying offer from Seattle ahead of the offseason deadline.

The Huskies women’s team fell to #8 Stanford 71-59 for their third straight loss after starting the season 11-0.
The Western Washington University men’s team had their six-game win streak ended in a 112-105 loss to #5 Saint Martin’s.
Meanwhile, the Vikings women’s team crushed Alaska Fairbanks 86-45 to improve to 10-3 on the season.

Sehome girls got a more definitive win, beating Lakewood 74-53.
Ferndale boys beat Oak Harbor 82-47.
Ferndale girls dropped a close one to Oak Harbor 66-64.
The Bellingham boys lost to Lakewood 80-64 on Saturday.
Meridian boys lost to Anacortes 72-48.
Meridian girls lost to Mount Vernon 45-40.
Mount Baker boys were edged out by Burlington-Edison 61-54.
The Baker girls fell to Burlington 81-36.
And the Squalicum girls beat Blaine 45-27.
