The Washington Huskies’ undefeated season came to an end last night.
They lost to the Michigan Wolverines 34-13 in the college football national title game.
The Wolverines got off to a quick 14-3 start in the first quarter after two 40+ yard rushing touchdowns by Donovan Edwards.
UW pulled within seven going into the fourth quarter.
But Michigan running back Blake Corum scored a pair of late-game touchdowns to secure the win.
The Wolverines rushed for just over 300 yards and four touchdowns in a dominant ground attack.
Michael Penix Jr. threw for 255 yards and a touchdown with two picks in his final games for the Huskies before entering the NFL Draft.
The Huskies end the season as Pac-12 champs with a 14-1 record in Kalen DeBoer’s second season coaching the team.
The Seattle Kraken are back as they look to extend on their biggest win streak of the season.
They’re playing the Sabres in Buffalo with a chance to win their seventh-straight game.
Right wing Oliver Bjorkstrand was recently named as one of the initial selections for the NHL All Star game.
He has 11 goals and 18 assists on the season for Seattle so far.
