PULLMAN, WA. – (MyBellinghamNow.com) Student workers at Washington State University took to the picket line on Wednesday, January 17th, but their strike was short-lived.

The bargaining team for WSU’s Coalition of Academic Student Employees-UAW announced a tentative contract agreement with the school shortly after the strike began.

Over 1,800 student employees had been seeking an agreement with university administrators for over a year with no success.

The tentative contract includes wage increases, extended family leave time, and more affordable healthcare options.

Union members will vote on ratifying the contract starting Friday, January 19th.
