BELLINGHAM, WA. – (MyBellinghamNow.com) A man is in custody after reportedly brandishing a gun during a robbery in downtown Bellingham.
Bellingham Police spokesperson Megan Peters says officers responded to a report of a group that robbed a man on Commercial Street around 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 21st.
One man was reportedly armed with a handgun.
Officers located a suspect in the area who had a Glock-style pellet gun and searched a bag on him that he claimed was not his.
The bag contained a dagger and medication with the victim’s name on it.
Officers arrested the suspect, 18-year-old Cole McCallum, on a first-degree robbery charge.
Police also spoke to two juveniles, but no more arrests have been made yet.
