BELLINGHAM, WA – (MyBellinghamNow.com) Several issues in Whatcom County school districts, including a potential new Lynden High School, will be on the upcoming special election ballot. Voting ballots were mailed out last Wednesday for the Feb. 13 election.

Aside from the $157.5 million bond for a new Lynden High School, residents in Blaine will be voting on a $70 million bond for upgrades across the district. The Bellingham, Ferndale, Meridian, Nooksack Valley and Mount Baker school districts all have various operational levies on their respective ballots.

Ballots can be returned in an official ballot drop box located throughout Whatcom County until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Those returning ballots by mail must have it postmarked by Election Day for it to be counted. Any registered voter that has not received a ballot yet should contact the Election Division for a replacement.
