WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new program will offer free and accessible COVID-19 and flu testing for Whatcom County residents.
The state Department of Health is launching a new testing initiative that installs kiosks across the state with free tests and other health care supplies.
Each kiosk would be open 24/7 and can hold up to 700 tests at a time, supplying them at the push of a button.
They can also include other health care supplies like Narcan, pregnancy tests, STI tests, fentanyl test strips and over-the-counter medications.
There are currently only two kiosks that have been activated in Parkland and Spanaway.
But an official with the Department of Health says several other areas, including Whatcom County, have been approved and will receive kiosks in the coming weeks.
Find more information about the kiosk program on the DOH’s website.
