BLAINE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new substance abuse treatment center is set to open in Birch Bay early next month.
The Northern Light reports Catholic Community Services Recovery Centers (CCSRC) will be opening their fifth location in Birch Bay Square on Monday, March 4. Officials for the center are celebrating the opening, saying they’ve planned for years to bring a treatment center to the north county residents. CCSRC has other locations in Bellingham, Burlington, Everett and Marysville.
The new center will offer assessments to walk-in patients dealing with substance use disorders. In addition, they will offer outpatient care before connecting patients with other community support, like 12-step programs. The center functions on a first-come, first-serve basis and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The organization takes Medicaid and most insurance. Despite being faith-based, CCSRC offers services to anyone regardless of faith.
An open house will be held Friday, March 1 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center prior to opening the facility to patients.
