BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Bellingham Police investigated a purported threat to Sehome High School Friday but found there was never any danger.

A police spokesperson says a student was touring a school in another part of the state when an incident occurred at that location. They communicated that they were in a lockdown there and that information spread at Sehome. A person misunderstood it and reported it as a threat to Sehome.

Sehome was placed on lockdown and then a hold with students kept in classrooms while the school was checked. Police found that there was no actual threat and school was dismissed normally at 3:15 p.m.
