FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A Ferndale man is in custody after a multi-agency investigation into human trafficking operations.

Whatcom County Sheriff’s spokesperson Deb Slater says the office recently partnered with Homeland Security investigators to rescue seven victims of human trafficking.

During the investigation, Slater says they arrested a suspect who arranged “commercial sex services” with a person he believed to be 16 years old. He also offered to bring the minor marijuana.

The suspect, 43-year-old Noone Marshall, remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $5,000 bail.

The operation to rescue victims of human trafficking was conducted along with several other agencies, including the Bellingham Police Department.
