BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A suspected fentanyl dealer from Bellingham with several illegal guns was arrested earlier this week.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Deb Slater says officers stopped a vehicle in a parking lot at Cornwall Park on Monday, May 13.
A car arrived in the same parking lot while deputies were speaking with the suspect, and the suspect admitted they were there to buy drugs from him. A search of the suspect’s vehicle found three ounces of fentanyl packaged in small bags.
A search warrant later executed on his residence on N. Park Dr. recovered three firearms without serial numbers, six firearms lowers without serial numbers, several high-capacity handgun magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.
There was also a 3D printer with supplies that are believed to have been used to build the lowers for the handguns.
Slater says the suspect, a 34-year-old Bellingham man, is a seven-time convicted felon and has four pending felony charges.
He remains at the Whatcom County Jail on $150,000 bail.
