The Mariners are back at T-Mobile tonight for the start of their series against the Chicago White Sox.

The M’s are coming off a series loss to the Royals over the weekend.

It began on Friday with a meltdown of epic proportions where Seattle held an eight-run lead going into the bottom of the fourth before Kansas City rallied and won 10-9 thanks to a 3-run ninth inning.

The Royals took Game Two on Saturday, but the Mariners edged them out in 6-5 in extras yesterday to avoid the series sweep.

Julio Rodriguez hit a tie-breaking single in the tenth and Cal Raleigh followed with a 2-run single to secure the win.

The M’s enter this next series against a struggling White Sox team that owns the worst record in the MLB.

Chicago is just coming off a 14-game losing streak where they were swept in four straight series.

Logan Gilbert is on the mound for Seattle tonight for the start of their week-long homestand.

Speaking of the Mariners, Western’s softball team is being honored at T-Mobile Park this week.

The Vikings have been invited to attend Friday’s game against the Rangers following their finish as the national runners-up at the NCAA Division II College World Series.

The Viks will be on the field to take part in pregame activities and watch batting practice before helping to bring the Mariners out on the field.

The Seattle Storm had their six-game win streak ended last night.

They fell to the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Lynx 83-64.

Seattle held a five point lead going into halftime, but Minnesota stormed back led by seven threes from Kayla McBride.

Jewell Loyd led the Storm with 25 points.

Despite the loss, Seattle still owns the second-best record in the West.

They’ll look to inch closer to first place starting with tomorrow’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks.

 

The Seattle Sounders fell to Sporting Kansas City 2-1 on Saturday.

The win snapped a 7-match losing streak for KC as the Sounders fell to 4-7-6 on the season.

The Seattle Reign didn’t fare much better, they fell to the Kansas City Current 5-2 yesterday to drop to 2-9-1.

 

The Bellingham Bells had a successful series over the weekend.

The Bells took two out of three games against the Ridgefield Raptors to improve to 5-4 on the season.

They’re in Wenatchee today for the first of their three-game series against the AppleSox.

 

Taking a look at the finals going on in basketball and hockey…

The Boston Celtics edged the Dallas Mavericks 105-98 yesterday to take a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals.

Jrue Holiday led the team with 26 points as they improved to 14-2 over their dominant run through the playoffs.

Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 32, with the team looking to get some magic as they head back to Dallas for Game Three on Wednesday.

 

And the Edmonton Oilers are looking to even things up in the Stanley Cup Final tonight.

The Florida Panthers took Game One on Saturday in a dominant 3-0 shutout.

The Panthers will have a chance to get their fifth straight win and a 2-0 series lead tonight during Game Two in Florida.
