The Mariners are in action tonight for the start of their series against the Miami Marlins.

The M’s had won 7 of their last eight games going into their last series against the Guardians, but dropped two out of three in Cleveland.

Now, they’ll look to rebound against a Marlins team that’s just coming off a six-game losing streak.

Miami owns the second-worst record in the MLB.

They could be a potential trade partner with the Mariners, who will look to add some bats ahead of the July 30 trade deadline.

The M’s have won their last four games under George Kirby, who’s getting the start today.

First pitch from Miami is at 4:10 on KPUG.

The Florida Panthers are looking to clinch their first-ever Stanley Cup tonight.

They’re playing the Oilers in Edmonton in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Oilers are looking to keep their comeback effort alive after falling to an early 3-0 deficit in the series.

Reigning MVP Connor McDavid made history in Game 5, becoming the first player ever to have back-to-back four-point games in the Stanley Cup Finals.

The Oilers will look to force Game 7 in the biggest game of their season.

Puck drops at 5:00.

Bellingham High School graduate Gavin Jones fell short at the Olympic Trials in Indianapolis this week.

He swam the 200-meter breaststroke in 2 minutes, 16 seconds to finish 55th out of the 76 swimmers in the preliminary round.

That was about four seconds behind the time that would have qualified him for the semifinals.

Still, the five-time NCAA D-III All-American is the first Bellingham-native to compete in the Olympic trials.

The Bellingham Bells kept rolling last night in their 5-1 win over the Kamloops NorthPaws.

The win secured their second-straight series sweep and sixth-straight win.

It was also the NorthPaws’ 10th-straight loss.

The Bells sit just one game behind Wenatchee for first place in the North Division.

They now head to Vancouver Island for the start of a three-game series against the Victoria HarbourCats.

It’s the start of a six-game road trip before the Bells return home to Joe Martin Field next Friday.

And Western Washington University’s men’s basketball team has announced a big recruiting class for the upcoming season.

Headlining the 10 additions is Lynden standout guard Anthony Canales.

He led the Lions to three consecutive 2A state titles, winning tournament MVP each year.

Western is also bringing in guard Jaxon Dubiel from Mountlake Terrace, who graduated as the school’s all-time leading scorer.

Another key addition will be guard Garrett Levesque, who hails from University of Texas, El Paso as the Vikings’ only Division-I transfer.

It comes after the Vikings lost six players from last season’s team to the transfer portal, including four starters.

Among them was senior Kai Johnson, who was the 12th-ranked scorer in the country last season.
