The Mariners are looking to even up their series against the Orioles tonight after a loss in the opener.

The M’s were shut out 2-0 last night at T-Mobile for their third loss in a row.

George Kirby was solid, throwing six and one-thirds innings with two runs allowed to an Orioles team that’s one of the premier offenses in the league.

But Seattle backed him up with just two hits at the plate, both singles by Josh Rojas.

Grayson Rodriguez threw six and one-thirds shutout innings for the O’s to earn his 10th win of the season, tied for the second most in the league.

Cal Raleigh nearly tied the game in the ninth with a long shot to right field, but it curved foul at the last second.

Logan Gilbert is on the mound for the M’s tonight as they look to avoid their fourth straight loss.

Coverage begins at 6:00 and first pitch is at 7:10 on KPUG.

One of the Mariners’ big offseason additions just played his first game with the organization.

Former White Sox relief pitcher Gregory Santos made his debut for Triple-A Tacoma last night, throwing a scoreless sixth inning on 13 pitches.

The right-hander had been sidelined since spring training with a lat injury and suffered several setbacks ahead of last night’s return.

The Huskies’ football team just locked in a big addition for next year.

The University of Washington landed the state’s top recruit in linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale.

He committed to UW on the day the Huskies played Michigan in the national championship, but withdrew it four days later, within an hour of coach Kalen DeBoer leaving for Alabama.

Now, Rainey-Sale has committed to the Huskies as the sixth 4-star recruit in their incoming class.

The Seattle Kraken made history today by hiring the first female assistant coach in NHL history.

Seattle hired Jessica Campbell from their AHL affiliate Coachella Valley Firebirds.

She’ll join new Kraken coach, and fellow Firebirds coach, Dan Bylsma on the team’s bench this upcoming season.

It comes after the Kraken made a flurry of moves over the past week, bringing in eight new draft picks, making two big free-agent signings and trading one its standout defensemen in Brian Dumoulin.

The Bellingham Bells lost to the Bend Elks 6-4 last night.

The Bells led by two runs heading into the eighth inning, but the Elks strung together four runs in the eighth and ninth to steal the win.

Jacob Mejia hit his fourth home run of the season in the loss.

They’ll look to even the series up tonight with a fireworks display after the game.

First pitch is at 6:35 from Joe Martin Field.
