The Mariners have the day off today after a tight series loss to the Blue Jays over the weekend.
The M’s edged out Toronto 2-1 on Friday thanks to a two-run double by Luke Raley to take Game One.
But they lost the next two both by a score of 5-4, with yesterday’s loss taking place over 10 innings.
It comes as Logan Gilbert was announced as the Mariners’ lone All-Star selection yesterday.
It’s the first of his career.
Despite the losses, the M’s have maintained a two game lead over the red-hot Astros.
Houston won 13 of their last 15 games before just losing back-to-back matches to the Twins over the weekend.
Seattle will look to pad their division lead during their brief two-game series against the Padres in San Diego.
Game One is tomorrow night with first pitch at 6:40.
The Kraken have agreed to a contract with restricted free agent Eeli Tolvanen.
Seattle will pay the veteran right wing nearly $7 million over the next two years.

The signing leaves center and former Rookie of the Year Matty Beniers as the Kraken’s only remaining restricted free agent.
The Sounders beat the New England Revolution 2-0 on Saturday.
Albert Rusnak assisted on the first goal and scored the second to help deliver Seattle its third straight win.
Rusnak has scored or assisted on all four of the team’s goals over the past two games.
The Sounders are unbeaten in their last five games and now sit at 8-7-7 after the win.
They’ll look to keep it up tomorrow night against Sacramento in the U.S. Open Cup quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, the Seattle Reign played the Utah Royals to a 1-1 draw yesterday.
It was the Reign’s fourth straight draw and third in a row ending in 1-1.
It came against the only team in the NWSL with a worse record than the Reign in the 2-11-3 Royals.
The Reign are now off for an extended break until August 25.
The Seattle Storm split their weekend games against the Chicago Sky.
Chicago edged Seattle out 88-84 on Friday led by Chennedy Carter’s 33 points.
But the Storm rallied back yesterday behind Nneka Ogwumike’s 24 points and 13 rebounds to beat the Sky 84-71.
It spoiled a historic day for Chicago’s rookie Angel Reese, who set the WNBA record for consecutive games with a double-double with 13 straight.
The Storm have won five of their last six games and still sit just a game back from first place in the Western Conference.
They’re back on Wednesday against the defending champion Las Vegas Aces.
The Bellingham Bells swept their weekend series against Port Angeles.
The Bells beat the Lefties 6-0, 5-3 and 11-8 to recover from a four-game losing streak coming into the series.
It included a big comeback win yesterday, where the Bells trailed 8-3 in the fourth inning, but went on to score eight unanswered runs to end the game and leave Port Angeles with the sweep.
The Bells are back at Joe Martin Field tomorrow night for a non-league game against the Cascade Collegiate League Showcase Team.
First pitch is at 6:35.
