BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another swimming advisory has been issued at Boulevard Park. Whatcom County Health and Community Services issued the advisory on Friday, Aug. 9, for the beaches at the southern end of the park near Taylor Dock.

The department says routine water sampling found high levels of fecal bacteria at the beach near an outfall pipe. Park attendees are being advised to avoid contact with the water until further notice.

The department also recommends showering after swimming and washing hands before eating if you’ve been in contact with the water or sand.

A previous swimming advisory at Taylor Dock was lifted on June 21.
