SEATTLE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A pair of alleged home invaders who robbed families in western Washington, including Skagit County, have been indicted.

U.S. Attorney Tessa Gorman says 28-year-old Kevin Thissel and 23-year-old Christopher Johnson are in state custody and are about to be transferred to federal custody.

The pair is accused of targeting Asian families as they robbed their homes for money and valuables in the middle of the night.

The indictment lists four separate incidents that occurred around the summer of 2022, including one that occurred in Mount Vernon. It states that the pair robbed a family there in May of that year and kidnapped a young boy from the residence.

Another charge states that the pair shot and killed a young mother during a robbery in Everett while her 7-year-old child was next to her in bed.

The pair was indicted for RICO and RICO conspiracy, which could be punishable by life in prison.
