United States women’s national soccer team great Alex Morgan announced today that she’s retiring.
Morgan added that she is pregnant and expecting her second child.
She said she’ll play one more game on Sunday, when San Diego Wave FC hosts the North Carolina Courage.
The 35-year-old is a two-time World Cup champion and Olympic gold medalist.
She ranks fifth in US women’s national team history with 123 goals scored, but she was left off their Olympics roster this year despite starting for the team throughout the spring.
