The Seahawks are attempting to bolster their defensive line yet again.
Seattle sent Jerome Baker and a 2025 fourth-round pick to the Tennessee Titans this morning in exchange for Ernest Jones IV in a swap of inside linebackers.
It’s the second time Jones has been traded this year, after the Titans acquired him from the LA Rams in August.
Mike Macdonald says he’s expected to play this Sunday.
The move gives the Seahawks help for a defense that’s allowing the fifth-most rush yards per game in the league.
It comes as Seattle may be getting some help on the other side of its line this weekend.
Offensive tackles Abraham Lucas and George Fant are set to return to practice ahead of Sunday’s game against Buffalo.
Fant has been on the IR with a knee injury he suffered in Week 1, while Lucas has yet to play a snap this season.
The Kraken fell just short of a late game comeback in their 3-2 loss to the Avalanche last night.
Joel Kiviranta scored two goals for Colorado to help them win their third straight match following a rocky 0-4 start to the season.
Jared McCann and Ryker Evans each scored for Seattle in a loss that snapped their three-game win streak.
The Kraken now sit at 4-3 as they near the end of their extended homestand against Winnipeg tomorrow night.
Puck drops at 6:30 on KGMI.
One of the casualties from a rocky Mariners season has found a new home.
The St. Louis Cardinals hired former M’s “offensive coordinator” Brant Brown yesterday.
He was fired just two months into his first season with Seattle in the midst of the team’s struggles at the plate.
Brown will now take over as hitting coach with the Cards, while the Mariners meanwhile have moved on to franchise legend Edgar Martinez as the newest hitting coach to get their bats rolling.
The Huskies could be primed for an upset against a ranked opponent this weekend.
UW is traveling to Indianapolis to face the 13th nationally ranked Indiana Hoosiers, who are off to their first 7-0 start since 1967.
But Indiana’s starting quarterback Kurtis Rourke will not suit up after injuring his right thumb last week.
The Hoosiers announced Monday that backup Tayven Jackson will take his place.
The Huskies will look to improve on their 4-3 record and notch a second win against a ranked Big Ten opponent.
Kickoff is at 9 am Saturday on KPUG.
