WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – If you’ve been meaning to clean out your medicine cabinet, this weekend is a good time to do so.

The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says that they’ll be participating in this year’s DEA National Drug Takeback Day on Saturday, Oct. 26. Deputies will collect any unused or expired medications at the Birch Bay Library and the North Fork Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Collection sites will also be open at the Bellingham and Ferndale Police Departments.

In Skagit County, the Anacortes and Sedro-Woolley Police Departments will have officers on site collecting unused medications.
