BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An icon of historic downtown Bellingham could be immortalized in brick-building history, but it needs your help.
My Bellingham Now previously reported that the 1892 Old City Hall made it into the LEGO Ideas program in April 2024.
The nearly 3,000-brick model, designed by Bellingham resident Brad Bergman, could be made into an official LEGO set if it gathers 10,000 votes.
The design currently has just under 3,500 supporters ahead of the Nov. 23 deadline. But if it gets 1,500 more votes, that deadline would be extended by 182 days.
Old City Hall housed Bellingham’s police department, Mayor’s Office and Council Chambers before becoming home to the Whatcom Museum in 1941.
You can find pictures of the LEGO model and a link to vote through the LEGO Ideas website.
