The Kraken’s woes continued last night.
The Columbus Blue Jackets beat Seattle 6-2 to hand the Kraken their fourth straight loss.
Seattle dominated shots and puck possession early and were competitive through the first 20 minutes.
But they were overwhelmed in the second period and couldn’t get back into the game.
Eeli Tolvanen scored twice for the Kraken, who have now lost 9 of their last 11 matches.
They’re back tomorrow afternoon against the Buffalo Sabres.

The College Football Playoff semifinals kicked off with a bang yesterday.

Lamar Jackson highlighted the selections, edging out Josh Allen for the first team.
Five Seahawks received votes, but none of them made the cut.
Leonard Williams was Seattle’s top vote-getter and finished just seven votes away from making the second team.
Devon Witherspoon, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Julian Love and punter Michael Dickson also received votes.
Meanwhile, ex-Seahawk Bobby Wagner was one of three linebackers picked for the second team.
The Seahawks let Wagner walk over the offseason and had to revamp their linebacker group mid-season.
The Huskies’ men’s basketball team got creamed last night.
UW lost to #16 Michigan State 88-54 for their second straight loss against a ranked opponent.
Huskies leading scorer Great Osobor was held to just 6 points on 0-8 shooting.
The Huskies are in the midst of a brutal stretch of their schedule that features six straight games against ranked teams.
They’re back on the road Sunday morning against #24 Michigan.
Coming up tomorrow, #18 Gonzaga is hosting Washington State at 6 pm.
Carmen Dolfo will have to wait a little bit longer to reach a major career milestone.
The Western Washington women fell to Northwest Nazarene 63-51 last night.
The Vikings trailed by one point at halftime, but couldn’t keep up in the second half to fall to 8-6 on the season.
Dolfo will have another chance to reach 700 career wins tomorrow night against Central Washington.
Meanwhile, the Western men lost to Seattle Pacific 97-86.
The Vikings have now dropped three straight and remain winless in GNAC play with an 0-5 record against conference opponents.
They’re back on the road tomorrow night against Montana State Billings.

The Nooksack Valley girls fell to Burlington-Edison 51-46 in a matchup of top 1A teams in the Northwest Conference.
The Nooksack boys fared better, they were on the other end of a 51-46 win over Burlington.
The Ferndale boys edged Mount Vernon 54-52.
The Golden Eagle girl didn’t have as much luck and lost to Mount Vernon 54-37.
The Meridian boys trumped Anacortes 65-54.
And the Trojan girls fell to the Seahawks 47-39.
