FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A new sculpture will be installed in Ferndale later this week.
The City of Ferndale’s spokesperson Megan Juenemann says that the sculpture titled “Sense of Connection” will be installed in Griffintown Park on Wednesday, Feb. 12.
“Sense of Connection” was created by Chris and Robin Larson, who are based in Seattle. The design is an abstract representation of the beauty of family, community and togetherness with the three figures in the sculpture representing the Augustus Griffin family—the park’s namesake.
The Ferndale Arts Commission commissioned the sculpture last summer using funding provided
by the Berghoff Art Fund of the Whatcom Community Foundation.
