SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A school district in Skagit County has announced they’re seeking new leadership.
The Sedro-Woolley School District’s school board said in a letter to families that superintendent Dr. Miriam Mickelson left her position as of Thursday, Feb. 20.
Dr. Mickelson and the board agreed to a “mutual separation for no cause,” according to the letter.
Born in the Philippines, Dr. Mickelson served as the principal of Edmonds-Woodway High School before taking the job at the Sedro-Woolley School District in 2021.
The school board says that they plan to build on the work that Dr. Mickelson began as they search for a new leader.
