WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – The first day of spring is nearly here, but some areas around Whatcom County are still in for a late snow dump.
The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a winter weather advisory for the west slopes of the North Cascades through 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 13.
During that time, forecasters say local areas like Deming, Maple Falls and the Mount Baker Ski Area will get between 3-11″ of snow.
Anyone traveling over Stevens or Snoqualmie pass should be cautious. Drivers are advised to slow down amid the slippery road conditions.
