MOUNT VERNON, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Local lawmakers want to hear from you at a community town hall this weekend.

Washington state Senator Liz Lovelett and 40th district representatives Debra Lekanoff and Alex Ramel are hosting the meeting in Mount Vernon on Saturday, March 15. They’ll share an update on their progress in Olympia and answer questions from those who attend.

The legislators have sponsored a wide range of bills, including one that just passed through the state House which would cap rent increases at 7% over a 12-month period.

Saturday’s town hall takes place from 11 a.m. to noon at the Mount Vernon Library Community Room.

The state’s legislative session ends on April 27.
