BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – An aquatic center that was shut down due to an overnight burglary will reopen on Thursday.

Bellingham Parks and Recreation says that all of its operations at the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center are on hold due to an apparent break-in.

Communications Director Melissa Morin says that a suspect smashed the front door glass and made their way inside. Electronic equipment and cash were stolen from various office spaces before the suspect left.

Morin says Parks and Recreation is currently assessing the damage and cleaning up the building.

Arne Hanna is scheduled to reopen at 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 24 and will resume its normal schedule.
