LYNDEN, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A suspected feud between coworkers ended in an RV fire at a business in Lynden.

Lynden Police Chief Steve Taylor says officers were called to a suspicious fire on E. Badger Road on the night of Wednesday, April 16.

When they arrived, an employee at VanderPol Building Components told them that a fellow worker had gone into another employee’s RV without them knowing. The witness said they saw the coworker throw out an assortment of belongings from the trailer before they saw the trailer and the pile of belongings actively burning.

Taylor says no injuries were reported during the fire.

He adds that the two workers reportedly had a “long-standing mutual dislike.”

An investigation by Lynden Police found probable cause to charge a 35-year-old man on suspicion of burglary and arson. The suspect was booked into the Whatcom County Jail early on Wednesday morning, where he remains without bail.
