FERNDALE, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Local law enforcement is seeking witnesses to an altercation involving a Washington State Patrol trooper in Ferndale over the weekend.

The Whatcom County Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Response Team says the incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. on Sunday, June 29.

The trooper had pulled over a motorcyclist on the northbound I-5 off-ramp at Main Street before the two got involved in an altercation at the intersection of Main and Barrett Road.

No further details are being released at this time.
