WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Local officials are warning about a risk of a dangerous food-borne illness after consuming a mail-order ready-to-eat meals.
Whatcom County Health and Community Services (WCHCS) passed along the public health alert after inspectors found spinach in Hello Fresh ready-to-eat meals may be contaminated with Listeria.
Two products are affected by the recall: Cheesy Pulled Pork Pepper Pasta and Unstuffed Peppers with Ground Turkey.
WCHCS is urging residents that have the items to not consume them and either throw them away or return them to the company.
Eating an item contaminated with listeria can pose serious health risks, including death.
As of Tuesday, there’s been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions to the products.
