SKAGIT COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A weekend pursuit in Skagit County ended in two arrests.

Sedro-Woolley Police say that an officer pulled over a van whose driver was suspected of having active arrest warrants Saturday evening.

The driver was asked to exit the vehicle but instead sped away through a residential area.

Officers pursued the vehicle as it got onto SR 9, where the driver occasionally drifted into oncoming traffic lanes. The driver and passenger tried to run from police after turning onto a dead-end road, but both were taken into custody.

Officers determined that the passenger also had active warrants for her arrest.

A search of the van later yielded 6.6 grams of methamphetamine.
