WHATCOM COUNTY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – State officials have certified results from the November general election.
According to the Secretary of State’s Office, just over 45% of registered voters in Whatcom County cast their ballot.
That was well above the state average of 39% and just behind King County for the highest of any major county in the state.
Last month’s election resulted in a new Port of Bellingham commissioner and two new members of the Whatcom County Council. It also expanded the Port commission from three to five seats.
The next election falls on Feb. 10, 2026.
Resolutions need to be filed by Friday, Dec. 12.
