BIRCH BAY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Whatcom County will be holding a virtual session to give information on the Birch Bay incorporation study next Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 6-7 p.m.

The study evaluates the financial feasibility for Birch Bay to become its own city. The information session will provide an overview of what the study will look at during its process and allow attendants to ask questions.

Whatcom County’s Planning and Development Services notes that the incorporation study will not make value judgments on whether Birch Bay should become autonomous.

My Bellingham Now previously reported the study was funded in Summer of 2024 and they have since taken a public survey on the incorporation.
