BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – More active weather will be affecting not just the mountains but the lowlands of our region as well.

The National Weather Service is predicting a nearly complete likelihood of over 35 mph winds in Bellingham through midnight Wednesday, April 15. Over 40 mph winds are also possible throughout the region.

Temps are also expected to dip below freezing in some spots, mostly inland.

The weather system could bring up to 3 feet of snow at Mt. Baker, which will be closing on April 19.

Precipitation coupled with the cold temps may bring frost to the lowlands on Thursday morning.

The unseasonably cold temps will stick around through Friday morning and could perpetuate the frost.
