BELLINGHAM, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Another downtown Bellingham business is closing its doors for good.
Rock and Rye Oyster House announced on social media that next Thursday, June 25, will be its final day of business.
The restaurant has been operating out of the Herald Building on N State Street for the past 12 years.
It offers seafood, cocktails, beer, wine and cider, with most of the products sourced locally.
Rock and Rye is offering discounted oysters starting Thursday, June 18, for its final week of business, which coincides with its 12th anniversary.
It follows the sudden closure last month of Starla’s Pizza, which was also housed in the Herald Building. Other businesses have shuttered in the downtown core recently as Mayor Kim Lund issued an executive order aimed at boosting and incentivizing commerce on Monday, June 15.
