SEDRO-WOOLLEY, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – A suspect is in custody after a multi-agency investigation ended without injury in Skagit County.
Sedro-Woolley Police say that the suspect made 911 calls stating he was armed and threatening to harm others Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 19. Police received information from the Lane County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon that the suspect was wanted in connection with an unspecified violent felony case.
Officers found him near a business on Highway 20. The business was evacuated before Skagit County Crisis Negotiations and North Cascades Regional SWAT arrived to assist.
The suspect was taken into custody after climbing the business’s fence.
