TACOMA, WA (MyBellinghamNow.com) – Three more teen boys have been arrested in connection to the fatal Chelan Hills wildfire.

The U.S. Marshals Service says they worked with detectives in Douglas County to determine the identity of the three new suspects.

They’ve been identified as an 18-year-old and two 19-year-olds from the greater Tacoma metro area, all of whom were taken into custody Thursday, Sept. 17.

This comes after the initial arrest of an 18-year-old man from Kent, who is suspected of being part of a group that shot off illegal fireworks into dry brush during a burn ban.

The fireworks ignited the Chelan Hills Fire, which claimed the life of a 69-year-old man, destroyed hundreds of structures and caused $6 million in damage.
